Recovery Timeline
Most patients return to light activity within 48 hours and resume work after 3 to 5 days, depending on the nature of their job. A compression vest is worn for the first few weeks to minimise swelling and support the healing process.
Strenuous exercise or upper body workouts should be avoided for at least 4 weeks. Final results can be seen once swelling subsides, typically within 6 to 8 weeks. Small scars will fade gradually over time and are usually very discreet.
